MONK : Quick Search Tool
This page last changed on Apr 23, 2008 by ssteger@uga.edu.
Here is documentation for the development of the Quick Search Tool. The prototype can be found in the project Stéfan by selecting the "Collections Quick Select" toolset. The tool will be useful when creating large training sets or worksets where navigating the collections tree browser would be cumbersome. We decided to begin the title string with the name of the author to ease the search (the collections tool browser doesn't list by author, so this also provides another way to group texts). The text field offers autocompletion, so when you begin typing, you can then hit the down arrow to navigate to the desired work: The autocompletion works for any string in the title of the work. So, for example, if you type "op," you get Amelia OPie, TrollOPe, and the Old Curiosity ShOP: Stefan is currently working on creating a selection menu for chapters beneath the work that is selected. |
